Karlo and I have always lived a very active lifestyle. Running, hiking and going to the gym was what we did on and off for the past 10 years. We were never consistent in any one thing long enough. Basically, we were tired of doing all that but not seeing any results. So, thatʼs when we asked for help and who better to start us off in our fitness journey but none other than Moji Oluwa, who has over 26 years of experience in all things fitness related and living a healthy lifestyle. Moji is a walking encyclopedia. His mind conjures up these different workouts and each workout session with him is never the same.

With Mojiʼs help I was able to transform my body into that of a bikini competitor. He does not have the words, “Canʼt or No” in his vocabulary. If youʼre training with him and you say, “I canʼt”… be ready because he will show you that you most definitely can. Moji is a great motivator and inspiring individual. He is someone you want on your side. Contacting Moji has been the greatest thing Karlo and I have done not only for ourselves but our mind and bodies as well. Moji definitely does your body good!

Getting ready for the Yorton Cup in Phoenix will be my biggest show of the year. My contest prep in terms of nutrition is very simple. I don’t have to change my nutrition much to get ready for a show since I stay in shape and eat clean all year round. However, my prep this time is different from all the preps I have done in the past. After doing some research on how to manipulate carbs for hardness, fullness and leanness, I developed this new system called “The High And Low Glycemic System.”

This system is cycling between high and low glycemic index carbs throughout my nutrition prep leading to the show. I take 180gms of low glycemic carbs (brown rice) and split it into 4 quarts, consume it throughout the day every three hours along with my protein and fats for three days. The low GI will increase metabolism, fat loss and deplete the muscle glycogen. On the forth day I then take 160gms of (white rice) same as the low GI, this will increase the glycogen and feel out the muscles to give that full and hard look. With this system you can adjust the carbs according to feel and looks as results will varies.

Working with Moji for the past several months has been the best decision I’ve ever made regarding my health and fitness. I first started working with him in order to improve my golf game. My game has improved tremendously during this time (my handicap has gone from 11 to 7) and my overall fitness level is improved as well. Moji does a great job at motivating his clients into pushing themselves harder than they can push themselves. He also does a great job at explaining what you are working on while you are working on it. This makes it very easy to incorporate elements from his workouts to personal time at the gym when he is not around. If you are considering working with Moji, I highly recommend it!

My favorite body part to train is my quads. I come from an Olympic Weightlifting background which means the main focus is training the lower body. I trained very heavy with 5, 2 and 1 rep max. It was all about power, strength, speed and lifting as much weight as possible.

As a Natural Bodybuilder, it’s about size, esthetics, definition and symmetry. I get asked all the time how much I squat or bench press and my response is always the same…I am not here to lift weights, I am here to build muscles. My training philosophy is muscles first, weights second. When I’m performing any exercise I resist against the load as much as I can on the eccentric part of the movement and control on the concentric part. I count 3 seconds on the way up and 4 seconds on the way down.
People tend to load too much weight on the bar or leg press machine with very little range of motion moving the load without any resistance. That is why they find their legs are not growing and have knee and back injuries.

I don’t have a training routine because every week I train different exercises, variations, intensity and load. Along with my quad training, I train my gluts.

Here is an example of a quad day for me:

          Squats 12×4 sets
Leg Extension 15×4 sets
Sissy squats 15×4 sets
High step-up with load 15×4 sets

It’s all about training smart and focusing on your goals. As a bodybuilder, you need to connect the load you are training with to the muscle. It is about action and reaction. Lastly, vary your training. Do not do the same training all the time. Bodybuilding is a sport of evolution….change brings change.

I don’t know where to begin. Moji Oluwa is the complete package. I think the title “personal trainer” does not apply to him. Moji is someone that is going to stick with you forever. I like to call him a personal fitness manager. He is not the kind of person that runs through a set of exercises. He understands how the body works and the nutritional needs for your fitness goals. Trust me, one glance at him you won’t doubt my statement. He is the entire program. It is not just exercise. His program is about assessing you, educating you, motivating you, rehab for the mind and body, nutritional support, and supplement support. I personally don’t like a lot of people around when I am working out. I like to be focused with no distractions. Moji trains at a private boutique gym. The place is small and perfect for personal training. The best part is that there is barley anyone there!

I never would have thought in a million years I would compete in a fitness competition. Well, I competed in my first competition in April 2012 and won first place. Go figure! I am now addicted to a healthy life, exercise, strength of the mind and body, and Moji! I feel sexy and confident. I have to thank Moji for that because without his extra push and direction this wouldn’t be possible. I hands down recommend Moji Oluwa for everyone. Be prepared to work hard with him. Listen to his direction and you will see results. I guarantee it.

WOW…What can I say; Moji is a walking encyclopedia when it comes to anything related to fitness. I thought I knew a lot about strength training and bodybuilding until I started training with Moji. (I am an NPC competitive bodybuilder and a certified personal trainer as well as an Indoor cycling instructor). Anyone can benefit from his wide range of knowledge that can only come from years of experience on the field. Moji is currently training me for my next bodybuilding contest and every workout I have with him is a learning experience. His coaching technique on proper forms and verbal queues sticks with you. When I workout by myself, I can hear his voice in my mind guiding me with proper execution of exercises and pushing me to do more LOL. Give Moji a try if you are serious about achieving your fitness goals.

Like most people, after the holidays I felt the need to make a change in my life. I felt fat and out of shape. I would get winded from going up a flight of stairs. I knew I had to do something or I was going to end up like most of out of shape America. I have been working out on and off since high school but have never really been consistent with it. I knew if I wanted to get serious that I would need the help of a professional. Someone who could push me and someone who I would respect and listen to. There are a lot of out of shape “trainers” out there… I was looking for someone who practiced what they preached. I was happy to find Moji’s website. I thought “this guy obviously knows what he’s talking about”. So I started training with Moji on Jan 8th 2005. I went from 30+ percent body fat to 18 percent in 7 weeks (lost 21 pounds). I also gained a lot of strength, endurance and muscle size.

After about 4 months I decided to that I wanted to compete in a bodybuilding contest. Moji spent the next 3 months helping me get into the best shape of my life. Take a look at my pics – the man knows how to get people of all body types in awesome shape! I would recommend Moji to anyone that is serious about changing their body. Not only does he train you but he explains how the human body works and tells you why you do what he has you do. This information is valuable and will last a lifetime.

I originally hired Moji to work with him for a period of one month in order to attain some less than aggressive fitness goals. Months later the experience has taken me to a level of fitness that I did not know I was capable of; and it just keeps getting better! Moji is the complete package as a personal trainer because his services encompass strategic goal oriented work-outs combined with the optimal customized nutrition. In addition…………Moji “walks the walk” and maintains a lifestyle that is not only motivational to his clients but stands on a solid foundation of professional experience as a trainer and world class athlete. I can attest that the quality of training that Moji provides will not only assist you in achieving goals but it will touch every other area of your life in ways you would not expect. My advice to anyone that is serious about achieving and maintaining a serious fitness goal and brand new lifestyle is to: hire Moji, be ready to work hard, and change your life. There is no substitute for professional experience and guidance!
